I haven't updated since the 4th of December, and I've got 20 minutes before Christmas is officially over. BUT THERE IS STILL TIME TO WISH EVERYBODY A VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS! Hope everyone has been doing well and having a great time.

As for me, I'm enjoying my new job and my life in general quite a bit. We had a kickass Christmas party in my office on Wednesday where I put a paper bag over my head, donned a labcoat and went as a reanimated mad research scientist. (There were a bunch of us who arranged to go with paper bags over our heads. It was awesome.)
What did I do for Christmas, myself? I cooked and cleaned. And then I headed over tothurisaz83's place to make gingerbread cookies.
Unfortunately, because I was involved, they didn't actually turn out to be gingerbread men.
GINGERBREAD ZOMBIES
Tomorrow, we're going to have our Christmas lunch after I attend the End-Of-Year CosFest (I'm wearing this dress that my sis and I spent half of yesterday sewing baubles to).thurisaz83 will be giving out the gingerbread zombies.
My friends are absolutely going to love them. And by love them I mean reel in horror and yell "OMG WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH YOU".
Yup, some things never change.

jp917 sends the news that two top DJs / remixers have tweeted about remixing a Gorillaz track in the last few days.
On December 21st Yuksek ( more information on Wikipedia here ) tweeted "just finished GORILLAZ remix". Link to the tweet here and Yuksek's Twitter is here.
On December 22nd Steve Angello ( more information on Wikipedia here ) tweeted "Gorillaz remix in the works !!", adding slightly later "btw .. Gorillaz remix is nasty !!!". Link to the tweets here and here and Steve Angello's Twitter is here.
With Gorillaz promotion about to swing into full effect in 2010, it's likely these DJs are amongst those officially commissioned to remix tracks, or a particular track, from Gorillaz' forthcoming third album 'Plastic Beach'.

As mentioned various places, a guessing post! I'm doing FNFF's Secret Santa again this year, Yuletide again, plus Three Ships. I picked up a pinch hit for Yuletide and three prompts for FNFF's SeSa, so that is a total of six guessing opportunities!
Guessing games are no fun without prizes, so I'm offering unbetaed fic of at least 100 words for each correct guess, up to three fic and six guessing attempts. No, you don't have to squander guesses on fandoms or fests you don't read. Yes, you can play the best odds and save them all for FNFF.
Tomorrow, I'll post prompt guidelines (fandoms, pairings, characters, squicks), though you'll always have the option of asking about anything not covered (see: my writingnorabombay Diefenbaker fic). If I can't write it, I'll let you know, and you can always submit a different prompt. None of this is that important at the moment, because with no fic open and posted, this is more a placeholder than anything.
Comments will be screened. I won't confirm anything until after each fest reveal, but that always leaves plenty of time for changing answers.

GUYS. YOU GUYS. Judd Winick pens 'Batman: Under the Hood' animated film script.
YOU GUYS I THINK I JUST PEED A LITTLE BIT.
Comics2Film at Mania.com has confirm that the next DC Universe animated feature film after 'Justice League: Crisis on Two Earths' will be 'Batman: Under the Hood'.
The movie will be based on the recent storyline featured in Batman #635-641. We've also learned that Judd Winick, who wrote the comic series, is also writing the script for the film.
The comics storyline features the return of the mysterious Batman villain, The Red Hood, which was originally the identity adopted by the Joker before he fell into a vat of chemicals and was transformed into the clown prince of crime. This new Red Hood rises up as an anti-hero in Gotham City, waging a violent war against the likes of the Joker and the Black Mask.
The villain's campaign puts him at odds with Batman as well as various allies including Nightwing, Green Arrow, Zatanna and others. While most readers of C2F likely already know the character that is eventually revealed to be under the Red Hood, we'll avoid spoiling it for anyone who isn't current on their bat-books.
Watch for 'Justice League: Crisis on Two Earths' to arrive in February. Expect 'Batman: Under the Hood' to drop in the summer.

Tis the season
Oh man, livejournal, did I tell you about the time a couple of weeks ago when Erinna and I were looking at the local craigslist, and discovered that the bland, slightly dirty suburban parking lot of the supermarket down the street from me is a hook-up site for dudes who want to have anonymous car-sex after the late-night shopping's done? Williamstown: it's the gift that keeps on giving.
