Supremely awesome chicken & pasta salad; an abstract recipie

Things you will need :

1 can of chicken or equal amount of boiled chicken breast
half box of small pasta shells
basil
garlic
rotisserie chicken spice
black pepper
sweet onion
brown sugar
very small amount of bbq sauce
mayo
mustard

MAKE IT :
If using canned chicken, add all spices to taste(1), mix and let sit until shells are cooked.
If boiling, mix all spices in a bowl and coat the chicken breasts in them. Then add some more to the water. Because. yummmmmm. Cook until done then let it sit in the water till cool enough to put your hand in and grab it out, or several hours (gives it more time for the spices to soak in). Cut up chicken and set aside. (THIS IS THE BEST WAY but you have to prepare the chicken a couple hours in advance if you want it to taste best)

Cook shells until soft but not mushy.
When done add to chicken and mix in mayo and mustard to taste

Chop and fry as much onion as you can possibly bear in brown sugar, till they're brown. Don't bother adding oil as there's no need, the brown sugar melts.
This requires the most attention because you don't want to burn the onions just get them all browned and sugary and yummy so do it last.

Mix in the onions and a tiny tiiiiiny bit of bbq sauce and presto. Eat!
or chill and eat I don't care. I like it better warm.
You could also add whatever kind of raw crunchy vegetable you like to this. If I had some celery it would be right in there but I don't. :( Broccoli tops might be good too or maybe shredded carrots.

(1) I always say to taste because everyone is different. For instance my boyfriend would like me to add an obscene amount of pepper, where as I prefer enough onions and garlic to kill a horse.

I didn't vote today.
I meant to, but didn't get up in time to make it down to the polling place and still have time to get to work.

I felt nervous and guilty all day. As if my one vote could have decided everything.
This seems like a self-important way of thinking but in all honesty, if every single person who thought their vote didn't matter decided to go out and cast their ballot, maybe we wouldn't have had to sit through eight years of stupidity and of young people my age and little kids mothers and fathers dying in a pointless war

But it's over now.

And the world won't change in a day, but at least now it can move in the right direction.

I'm trying to figure out a way to make a little of the money I've spent on fiber back.
I spent $14 on the fiber to spin the yarn I used to make those.
If I got that much for them, I'd be happy.

I've decided on my wheel.
I'm going to go for the Ashford Traditional single treadle.
I tried out a louet double and it just seemed really awkward. Plus the Ashford is nicer to look at.

I taped a picture of it to the wall next to my computer so every time I log on to Etsy I can look at it and go 'No. More. Fiber. Until. Wheel.'

I have enough. Seriously.

I finally spun up one of the merino/tencel blends I've had forever. It was impossible to spin when I bought it so it's been sitting at the bottom of my fiber buckets. But I pulled it out, spun it up with minor difficulty, and plied it with a vintage commercially spun mohair I got from Goodwill.

	Caterpillar coils! I love them.

	a pairing of merino/kid mohair and BFL roving both dyed in the same colours from another spiffy Etsian.
	arn spun from a roving called jam sandwich on my newest drop spindle.
	My newest drop spindle. It's HUGE. And heavy. I had to fix a bit of a balance problem I was having with the spindle by replacing it with a thicker one and now it spins forevers. Plus it hurts my thumb was less. AND! It fit an entire four ounces of merino on it and was still spinning. I was never able to get more than an ounce or two on a spindle before I had to transfer it to a 'bobbin'. (a dowel between two wooden wheels. Yay for creativeness.)
	My newest spindle and my trusty old spindle from Butterfly Girl Designs. As you can see there is a serious size difference.
	The top of the spindle is beautiful. That blue stuff there is angelina (Angelina Fibre is a very fine, unique fibre. Light reflective, as well as light refractive, Angelina is incredibly luminescent, while (unlike regular metallics) it has an extremely soft hand.). The real colour of the angelina is closer to this but angelina is near impossible to properly photograph.
	I just really like the way this looks. :D

My camera is having trouble focusing lately. It's seriously annoying.

And then it upset me and made me cry, wtf, I don't even know why.
So I changed it. And took five more to find another one.

Honestly I've never really understood the need to celebrate the ending of a year.
Every year is always the same, to be quite honest. Nothing really changes so why the big fuss?
Maybe it's just me.

Anyways. I have off till Wednesday. And then off for the next seven after that.
As long as I don't go overtime, anyways.

If I can, I will, but whatever.

Anyways. Today was shit. We got nothing done. It was terrible.
But I don't care. I got paid overtime for it so whatever.

My feet hurt really bad. My heels are all bruised on the sides from all the standing and walking and running.
Plus I need new shoes. These are getting kinda smelly. (it's more the dust from the floor kicked up than anything. If I kneel too often during the day my pants smell terrible too.)
Or at least to let these air out for a couple weeks/months.

I just burned my hand on the oven taking out my pizza. Lame.
